We are hosting the very fun Doxie Dash Races at the Spring Dog Festival. Daschunds will be able to race down the field to compete for prizes. The race is all in the spirit of fun.
Beginners are very welcome!
Handlers must have two people for these races. One person will release the dog when the whistle blows and the other will call from the finish line. The first doxie to cross the line wins.
Winners of the Doxie Dash may compete for Best in Show at 2:35PM. The race and prizes are sponsored by Living with Dogs. Please preregister at www.livingwithdogs.us - you may be able to register on the day of the event if there are any spots left.If you want to save a spot, register in advance. 5. The races will take place on a track approximately 80' long. First dog
to cross over the finish line will be the winner for that heat. A tie will allow both dogs to advance to
the next heat, or if it is the final heat, both dogs will be in first place and the third dog over the
finish line is considered in second place.
6. Depending on the number of dogs signed up for each race division, 4-6 dogs will be racing in each
heat.
7. Please, no arguing with the event judges, emcee or C-DOG volunteers. All races, games, contests, are meant for everyone to participate and enjoy.
8. Each dog must have 2 people to race, 1 as a releaser and one as a catcher. C-DOG volunteers or
attendees are allowed to assist under the guidance of the C-DOG volunteer running the event. No
food/treat is allowed to coax the dog, only toys, bells and whistles, etc.
