Its Dog Beach

Its Beach is no longer an off-leash area. Friends of Lighthouse Field (FOLF) is working with the city on a potential change from state park hands to city hands where dogs might again be allowed on Its Beach and in Lighthouse Field.

From San Jose: Take hwy 17 into Santa Cruz. Stay strait on Hwy1 and veer right on to Mission Street. Take left on Bay Avenue (1/2 - 1mi), then follow to end. At end, take right on Westcliff Dr. Lighthouse is about 1/2 mi. on left.

From Monterey: Take Hwy 1 North until you reach Santa Cruz. Go around the fishhook, then stay to your right. Remain Strait on Hwy1 and veer right on to Mission Street. Take left on Bay Avenue (1/2 - 1mi), then follow to end. At end, take right on Westcliff Dr. Lighthouse is about 1/2 mi. on left.
