Off Leash Dog Trail

The off leash trail at De Laviega is about 1/4 mile long and is gently sloping. It ends at the golf course. This is one of the few trails that are designated off leash in the county.

Directions From Monterey: Take Hwy 1 North, and exit at the Morrissey Blvd. exit. Just before the exit ramp turns into the bridge, take a right, then an immediate left on Rooney St. Continue strait until the road curves to the right. At the stop sign, take a left on Goss Ave. At the stop sign, go strait (you will be crossing over Branciforte Dr). Look for a pull off in a sand quarry on the right side of the road. The trial begins at this point.

To get to the park: continue on and after a short down hill, there's a stop sign. Take a sharp right. DeLaveaga park is on your right about 1 mile up. Look for the picnic tables on the right.
